Donald Trump faces fierce questions following controversial racial claim about Kamala Harris

Donald Trump has been facing fierce questions from a group of black journalists after claiming that his presidential rival, Kamala Harris, “turned black”.

The former president and Republican nominee has been addressing the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago, with his invitation to the event already causing some division in advance of his arrival.

Mr Trump, at the event, questioned Ms Harris’ racial identity, which has been condemned by the White House.
