How to Make Master Dice for Molds from 3D Printed Dice

In this video we go over the process of 3D printing your dice files and turning them into fully usable resin dice to roll the fates of your players!

This video has been about a month in the making, so I 100% apologize both for the delay and the length of the video. I just thought that it would be better to have a 100% complete final product that I am proud of, and that doesn't leave any question to wonder. I really hope that I answered a lot of questions ahead of time in this video, but if not, of course I'm always happy to answer more in the comments. So ask away!

All in all, I would recommend this process over the alternative of using tin cured silicone, as it just doesn't capture the detail that you need in dice creation in my opinion. You are totally free to try it yourself, as you may prefer that! But I'd rather buy 1 bottle of the inhibit X and be set for life.

A download link to everything that I talked about in the video can be found below!

I'll post the link to Goobertown Hobbies' video when he finishes the challenge in a few weeks.

I think Rybonator is one lab accident away from becoming a superhero at this point, nothing but good vibes from this guy

I enjoyed the length, myself. I felt like it was engaging and interesting and didn't lag in pacing. Timestamps for people to skip are a nice way to accommodate people who want more specific info so thanks for those.

I haven't sanded anything in a quarter of a century and no plans to soon, but you made me really excited about those sanding papers 😄

A very small piece of advice from one hobbyist/craftsman to another, when sanding, remember to sand in the same direction every time. Don't change directions mid-sand and those small scratches won't appear. Just a very small tip, I love your work and can't wait to see what you do next. Best of luck!

Oh wow, this is exactly the kind of video I'm looking for! Your videos have inspired me to start making my own dice, but it's just so hard to know exactly how to get started, and especially how to get quality dice molds out of 3D print, as when I print them there's always the construction lines covering the surface... Thank you so much!

The only thing holding me back from making dice for more than just me and my friends is copywriting. Thank you so much for creating a solution for all of us!

Giving away free files and allowing your viewers to sell whatever dice they make from your design is so inexplicably rad! Also, I really enjoyed the longer video. :)

After a couple of weeks of buying and waiting and watching, I pulled my first set of dice out of my pressure pot about an hour ago. They're crystal clear and I am very excited. It's all thanks to your videos, the free to use/sell STL file is just cherry on top. I think that deserves a few bucks a month :)

I have been searching for information about master dice for months. And you have answered every single question I had and then showed a full tutorial for them!! Thank you so much!

Free files is amazing. I have been looking into getting masters made but don’t really have plans to sell them since I’m still learning so being able to just find someone who can print these is such a gift. I’ve gotten so many tips on improving my dice making from this channel and as such have really improved in a short time. Thank you so much for doing this for your community

Ahhh! STLs! Yes! Thank you! I'm someone who's worked as a 3d printer technician and have recently gotten into dice making - purely inspired by you! This is truly awesome of you, and I want to thank you so much. Once i get the hang of using the premade mould I have, I am for SURE gonna make some using your files. I will be sure to tag you in them when I post them!

Nah metal scrapers are fine on resin print beds, its just using that metal scraper on the plastic FEP film is a huge no go

Thank you for the open source 3D models oh my word. Super duper subscribed. I don’t subscribe often since the YouTube algorithm usually shows me what I want to watch anyway. You are now the third channel I am subscribed to. Keep rolling! You deserve good things to happen to you

I'm, again, binging all your videos to get inspration and tips for beginning casting

I finally got to watching this one and, like many people in the comments, I'm freaking out that you're providing free to download, free to duplicate and sell dice files

If and WHEN I get around to making the Rybo-dice I'm never going to forget the generosity and wisdom you've poured into your videos

I love your videos.

I don't make dice. Never have. Never made anything with resin. Don't even own a 3D printer, and I don't play D&D. But something about your videos makes me really want to watch them. I think it is the fact that you are not only willing to show your mistakes but really want to show them, and I watch most channels because I enjoy the voices of the person creating them.
