You will learn to figure out what to put in the macro lines to make the GrandMA3 make automatic tasks.

GrandMA3 macros is a very powerful tool if you want to make large shows with a lot of automations.

This video is only scratching the surface of GrandMA3 macros, and is designed to give you a introduction into your own macro creation.

I hope you enjoy the video, and please leave a comment if you have any questions or comments to the video.

This is another GrandMA 3 Beginner tutorial from Event Lighting, and as the name applies – Its for GrandMA3 Beginners. 😀

Instead of creating the sequence every time, could u also create a sequence for every group u are going to use once, and use recipies to assign the effect to the group? That way you only have to change your groups, cook the group and you will have all the correct effects on the same que? I hope I make some sense and u understand what i mean haha!

basicly the same as the colors:

Sequence Group 1 colors: [
Cue 1 => red = Recipie with Group 1 and Preset Red
Cue 2 => orange = Recipie with Group 1 and Preset Orange
Cue 3 => green= Recipie with Group 1 and Preset Green
etc..
]

Sequence Group 1 Dimmers: [
Cue 1 => FF= Recipie with Group 1 and No effect
Cue 2 => Sinus Effect= Recipie with Group 1 and Effect Sinus
Cue 3 => Other Effect= Recipie with Group 1 and Other Effect
etc..
]

Does that make any sense? This was u can use macros to switch between the selected cues maybe?

This is for a busking showfile.

Thanks for the tutorial again!

Dear All,

I am trying to create a macro thats selects Group1 (Mythos) then Selects the Zoom Mode Narrow.

The problem is that whatever I tryied it didnt work. Please have a look at the syntax that I am using.

Group 1

Attribute "ZoomModeNarrowAngle" At 100

Please

I have tryied also "ZoomMode" At 100 or "ZoomMode" At 255 and several other commands. But the problem seems to be that the Narrow Angle is at value 2:100(Percent Readout) 255(Decimal Read out). Is there a way to make this work?

Generally is anyone knows how is the syntax for values such as 2:100, 3:100 etc etc, Cause as soon as an attribute such as Zoom Mode has more than one function GrandMA 3 places each function at 1:100, 2:100, 3:100 (Percent Readout). or at 2:255, 3:255(decimal8 Readout ) etc etc etc and whatever I tryied such didn't work.

Best,

M
