Somebody gave me one about six months ago because they said they didn’t like it. They must not have taken the time to read the instructions and train their chickens. I did so and I absolutely love this feeder. I have a flock of 50 laying hens and I’m getting two more. There is very little waste and I feel like it helps. Keep pests out maybe not entirely but it works. I also have guinea fowl that have learned to eat out of it by waiting for the chickens to stand on the trigger, and then they will eat when it lifts upthey do not like to stand on the trigger though

How well does this work with regards to food spillage? My chicken tend to spill so much food that it attracts rat which have a basically unlimited supply of food on the ground.

Today was my first day on Phase (Week) 2. Only one of my 6 Hens have figured it out. Everybody else is freaked out by the movement. I am supposed to leave for a business trip on Sunday. Feeling concerned if they will all get it or go hungry. The instruction make clear to not feed them anything accept thru the feeder. Feeling concerned.

An old inefficient and very dangerous design and they are made in China which they don't tell you about.
