A mom in Texas is sharing her solution to shorten those long drop-off lines outside schools in the morning. “We are yielding. It’s not a stop,” she says, listing off four other tips.

I leave early enough to park a block or so away and walk. That whole car line mess is not for me. 109 made the short walk kinda hard yesterday but for me it's better than having to sit in your car forever waiting. Plus, both my kids are still little, 7 and 5, and it just makes me feel better to walk them straight to their gate

That’s dangerous. A child died recently because their mom’s car rolled over them. You should stop the car when your child is getting out for their safety.

It's not even all that serious, a teacher should be at the end of the line at beginning of line and in the middle. Let the kids out wherever you at in the line and keep it moving

Yeah. You do need to do all that. Kiss and hug your kids. Don't let these school officials/parents tell you anything different. Because when that's the last time you see your kid alive, none of them will care. None of them will do anything to protect your kids.

At our school, we had traffic monitors to open the doors and get children out. No parents getting out of cars!! Hugs at home, blowing kisses in the car!!

Not having the seatbelt securely over the hip and shoulder is dangerous. Put on your back pack when you get out of the car.
Rolling stop/yield is dangerous. Could run over the kid's foot.
This woman is dangerous. At the expense of a few seconds could mean a lifetime of pain or even death.

I had to drop off and pick up friends kids when I babysat them for a few days. I just got there closer to the end time for drop off.... Easy peasy, no one was there, and samw for pick up. It wasn't really that hard to figure out. Kids still got to class on time, and didn't mind just chilling waiting for me to grab them.

Honey I would be rich for the many times i’ve yelled, fuss and screamed about silly parents waiting until they get to school in line to do the kids hair, fix their clothes, brush their teeth, wash their face etc; you DO THAT BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME!!!! People have jobs to go to after dropping the kids off. 😡😡

I thought you couldnt have your cell phone out in a school zone? My kids school has a no cell phone in use while driving thru the lanes and the school police actually pull parents over? She looks all over the place except forward
