Healthcare Redesign: Embedding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Critical Care​

Robert O. Roswell, MD, presented the Max Harry Weil Honorary Lecture at SCCM’s 2023 Critical Care Congress. The COVID-19 syndemic has pressure-tested the U.S. healthcare system and its critical care infrastructure, accentuating health inequities and straining critical care physicians and the socially vulnerable. Dr. Roswell explored the social influencers of health in the framework of the quadruple/quintuple aim to advocate for transforming medicine and critical care through a lens of health equity.
