Nice analysis - Bengals fan here. These matches have been interesting to me because at many levels there are similar back and forth battles - in the first two the Chiefs got ahead and Bengals counterpunched, this time we did. In one game the Chiefs left a sure FG off the scoreboard at half to try for a dagger TD which was stopped, this time we were ahead and tried the same thing. In another game late the Bengals took a risk to keep the ball away from Mahomes with time running down, this time we were ahead but did the same thing. It seemed this time we were controlling the game a little more than the first two, but in all cases the counterblows to catch up / take the lead shows how even the sides are.

Great analysis. The coaches and Mahomes know what they are doing (OK, so Pat missed the pass to McKinnon) but the O-Line are not helping him do his job. What we all thought at the start of the season was that the inexperienced defence would hurt us. But in reality they are doing a lot better than expected.

Pachecos run was big time. This team can't go away from, or be reluctant to run the dang ball in the red zone. Especially when we get inside the 5-10. Andy gets way too cute sometimes. Wants everything to be flashy and (as Matt Verderamme perfectly phrases) he wants it to look like a magic show. Sometimes the easy, obvious solution-- is the correct one. Keep running the ball.
