Growing Lemon Tree from Seed (60-day Time Lapse)

Plant's time lapse of growing a lemon/lime tree from seed. The seed was taken out of a grocery store lemon. The seed was stripped off its shell for faster germination. After 60 days, the plant grew to about 8-inch tall with few leaves and thorns. It may take several years to even bear the fruit.

Randomly dropped 6 lemon seeds in a planter about two weeks ago. Suddenly, two sprouts appeared. It's still very early to know if they'll make it. But so far, so good ... I'm in Northern Illinois.

I have a question: do you keep the light on at all times for the plant, or do you turn it off at night? I would think that the constant light would kill it.

Were you able to get rid of the fungus gnats? Luckily Lemon seedlings grow really hard roots, so they would have had a difficult time at eating them.

My Lemon tree is almost 1.20 meter tall now and still a single stemp... is that normal? do I have to cut of the "head"?

Yes but this is under non-stop light, no? I never see the light turn off, therefore for all those who don’t understand why their plants take twice as long…get a good grow light i guess and never turn it off. 🤓

I did the wet napkins to germinate my seeds and the bag dried out for about 6 hours are my seeds dead? They have small tap roots please help
