Ratchet and Clank PS4 Escape Sewer (Hard)

This level annoyed the crap out of me for the first 100 times, so I thought I'd share when I finally passed it.

This part... I swear I thought I was missing an upgrade or something that extended breathing... I cleared it finally by using the water since Ratchet swims faster than he runs. In the big circle rooms with the platforms, jump down and dive immediately once you hit the water. Then swim to the openings on the far side of the room.

Mine must be bugged. I reached the tube more than halfway and it kills me. Edit: Made it all the way to the top and died. Bullshit game

The trick to easily completing this part is to press R1 when you run. Clank will do his little jetpack thing, which is faster than Ratchet running.

An advice for all those who don't have an helipack: if you keep making small jumps while running forwars, you will actually move a little bit faster. It worked for me.

JUST BEAT IT ON HARD WITHOUT THE HELIPACK HOLY CRAP!!! and somehow there's no trophy for that. like cmon.

To do this without the helipac on hard just make sure that when you surface in the final part you only press square. If you move in a certain direction while you surface you surface slower and thats why you never make it

I figured it out. After trying 100 times. Go into options. Switch difficulty to casual, pass this bit and then go into options and turn it back to hard again. Not exactly medal worthy, BUT IT WORKED!!! 😂😂

On hard, the timing has to be absolutely perfect it seems. On normal I did it twice without any issue. It took me 15 tries before I searched for a video just to be sure it could be done!

I know I'm late to the party but for the people new the game, on the last tunnel just swim at the top of the tunnel and he will eventually catch an air pocket. I've done it twice in challenge mode.

FINALLY DID IT! It took me like 20 times but I did it! Just avoid all mobs and in the last part where you're going through the blue ring (where most of the people drown), just let the game carry you up! Thanks for the video! I hope this helps! :)

Alright for anyone looking at this, it’s actually super easy — you need to spam the R1 long jump move. It’s faster than running.

It all comes down to the last room. All the rooms start their timing from zero as you enter them, so it doesn't matter how slowly you do everything else. The trick in that final room is DO NOT JUMP. Press R1 to zip across to the central platform with your helicopter, run to the far edge, then press R1 again to jump the rest of the way. The R1 "air dash" is much faster than a jump-and-glide (tap X, hold X).

I did it on hard without the helicopter thing... took a while and lost a lot of hair in the process but I did it..

Yes!!!! Just made it!!!! thanks!! one thing that might help is that as soon as you make it to the last tube going up, jump out of the water. then it will carry you up.

Just beat this on hard mode after about 10 or so tries without the helipack, with time to spare, the key is to use the fusion grenade free aim to throw ahead so you can run more and jump less, in addition, when you have to jump, try to shave corners and not run as linearly, next try to stay close to the ceiling on the final tunnel, but continue moving forward, and lastly, time your ascend just right when going up the vertical tunnel, so that you’re moving at a perfect diagonal as you’ll want to move forward and rise at the same time without needing to level out until you’re rising through the tunnel.
