During the course of the hearing before a three judge bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud in the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta appearing for the CBI before the top court said that the authorities in Bengal, at the time of the incident, did everything that they shouldn't have.
