In the words of Aretha Franklin "you better think". He needs to reevaluate this whole getting children back in the classroom process until this who pandemic completely dies down. Who knows how long this will take?

Wasn't it a Republican who said the economy should open and the elderly should be/would be willing to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the economy? Kids are more resilient (but not invincible) but act as vectors - transmitting disease .
Saying it is up to the schools since each is different is a horrible side-stepping of responsibility. Three or four templates would cover 90% of schools.
Imagine being told to build a house but no blue-prints, no guidelines, no specifications, no budget. Just build it. That's the extent of thought the WH has displayed.

One thing should be crystal clear if the US really reopening the schools. In no possible case this will anyhow improve your allready extremely critical pandemic situation. No way!
On the contrary it will by 100% certainty fuel the outbreak, the question only is by how much it will worsen the situation. Your numbers are already through the roof, with schools open they will shoot into orbit. As a europian it is allready hard to watch what is going on in the US - in some Texas counties hospitals now have to send covid patients back home if they detect that they are likely not gonna make it anyway. Can you imagine how the doctors must feel about that to decide who is beeing helped and who not? Your direction is allready wrong, but now your adminstration choosing another even worse direction. Hard to belive what I see..
