The issue with babyface Roman is when the shield broke up Ambrose and Rollins changed their characters. They both got new gear, new music, and new moves.
Roman was still doing the stale shield act.

Roman’s “failed” run is the type of run/career 99% of pro wrestlers dream of having.

Paul has known Roman since he was 3 yrs old. The Tribal Chief gimmick was one that Roman created back in 2017, when he wanted to turn heel but Vince wouldn't pull the trigger due to Roman being the face of the company. One of Roman's promos after he defeated 'Taker at Wrestlemania, he says that he is not only The Big Dog in the WWE but he is also The Head of the Table. Even though he was still a babyface at the time, it was a great heel promo.

To me Roman as the Big Dog was someone me, my family, and my friends cheered. If he came out we would be excited. In my eyes, Big Dog Roman lived up to my expectations and he was one of my favorite babyfaces. Tribal Chief Roman is definitely better and I like him better than Big Dog.

Roman Reigns found himself in the right place at the right time, needing only the right direction and circumstances to thrive. This scenario is reminiscent of companies that thrust talented individuals into significant roles without adequate preparation, allowing them to learn on the job. Despite the initial challenges and potential customer complaints, those individuals often emerge successfully in their intended positions. This parallels Roman Reigns' journey, evolving from a less-than-stellar mic performer to someone whose promos are now must-see, maintaining momentum with only a few appearances each year. It's truly remarkable, and I'm genuinely happy for him. Adding to his success, he is blessed with a family of five kids, enabling him to balance a lucrative career with quality time spent with loved ones.

Now everyone suddenly loves the big dog character? nah it was trash and not Roman’s fault at all, Vince wanted to push him as someone that even he wasn’t comfortable with, tribal chief Roman is when he was finally able to be comfortable in his skin and it was a success

Every version of Roman Reigns is insane and legend one in the WWE history from shield to big dog and The Tribal chief.

I think if Roman went from The Shield to Tribal Chief he wouldn’t have got as much hate, however, him being rejected by fans and everything is part of the basis of the Tribal Chief character. The thing I love about the Tribal Chief version of Roman Reigns is his facial expressions. I don’t know if you’ve ever noticed but in matches where the crowd boos him or he feels questioned he gets this uncomfortable look on his face, or sometimes even just looks hurt. I think if he didn’t have all the hate from the fans prior to this change, it wouldn’t work as well as it does. It’s such a good character with so many layers.

I Wouldn't say that he "Failed" because

1. he was still Loved by a good portion of the audience.

2.. He was still one of WWE highest merch sellers and even at times number 1 .

3. Even though his character was stale, he still had great moments where he showed what he could be which is what he is NOW.👍

All things considered I'm glad WWE listened to his complaints and allowed Reigns to turn heel. He's been the biggest thing in the industry for the past 4 years. And he's only getting bigger with the Rock joining the bloodline

Roman NEVER failed in WWE. The people in charge failed Roman. Let's be real most men hate him cause their wives or girlfriends love him! I liked Roman when he was a babyface but damn I love Roman as a heel. My opinion he's the greatest heel of all time.

This is clicbait and utter nonsense. sure big dog Roman was booed at times, so did cena and rock in their early days in wrestling. Big dog carried WWE post punk era. Everybody cheered for him

Roman is a king that went mad due to his own kingdom.

In as Shield and as big dog Roman was my favourite, he was putting his body and heart on line in every performance he never given up. His matches were always tense and thriller to watch but still fans booed him but was not his fault. It was wwe which failed in providing him the true character which fans would cheer. But now Reigns being the epicenter, the main guy, the main-eventer, the super villain, the crowd puller, the head of the table and the tribal cheif for 3 and half years is the greatest work in all sports entertainments of all time.
