Many people struggled to understand how to make that sound effect with the guitar since the pedals and effects weren't available at that time. Turns out they were simply using a 12-string electric guitar, no effects. Sometimes, simple is genius

Our Enrique Delgado was a genius with the electric guitar.
Mr Delgado attended the Conservatory School of Music in Lima, Peru. He sadly passed away few years ago. He would have been delighted to know that his music is better known now all over the world thanks to social media. He has other songs ELSA, CAMINITO ANDINO, PATRICIA, etc. His music is before Santana, and it makes you wonder ????

Los Destellos are from Peru. Their musical director was Enrique Delgado (+). Today, he is called the father of Chicha. The Chicha is a musical genre peruvian that have like main characteristic the sound of electric guitar.
