I love how you focus on the 'Purpose' of your design, not the small details (fonts, colors, etc.) and spend time on the action, reaction, and direction of each element. The 'higher level' stuff you speak of are things I've found I have a natural knack for, but I'm working on transmitting the right message with the right design, for an audience that had specific needs.

After last week's video I compared previous versions of the 'tools' I've created since starting in Oct '15...

I learned:
Despite the lack of a clean and understandable layout, the old floor plans and side-work charts were able to get the point across; the 'message sent' was the same as the 'message received'. I saw the base purpose of each tool, and understood the information as it was presented.

Some of the projects I work on need maintenance over time. I'm going to look back at old versions of each. Fortunately, I've been saving each iteration because I enjoy looking at the growth of each of my concepts.

three years ago during my GD studies I watch this the first time. Remember how I kinda struggled getting your point, now with 2years of experience working GD full time in a Marketing team within a BBQ company, Im glad I watched it again. Just reminded me how often I think about which font, what color are matching, which mood photograph I should implementing etc. I just realized how less I think about the purpose it seems always clear "our stories" - once even a guy from the selling department came and said "Raphael dont only die in beauty, it also needs to sell" :)
