There's just so much to love about this game. I think my favorite part was how it slowly transformed the game from competitive to cooperative. From the beginning, everyone is usually selfish, but by the end, most groups are actively coordinating to make sure they stop the bad guys.

Played full campaign with my wife and stepson, really enjoyed it! After the first half we made a more conscious effort to treat it more like a semi co-op, which was kind of fun.

I got that role card too! I really enjoyed how that card was introduced in the story. They did a great job altering the right amount in this game, and I actually want to keep playing Clank on this board with these extra pieces. It didn't over stay its welcome at all.

For the Secret Tomes I thought it was cool that the updates you spoke of happened independent of anything else in the game, one of them had note that said as soon as you see this text read passage XX (I don't remember the exact passage) and that's when you changed them out! This happened very early on for my wife and me.

I Clank: Legacy - but I would like to add one more negative thing -> there are some end of game things that happened that checkd combined values of artifacts, which seems much easier to do in a 3 or 4 player game. It did bother me slightly that those values did not scale at all with the player count (we played 2p with my wife).
Additionally after a 2 player campaign you end up with less Inn upgrades than in a 3 or 4 player game - we accepted that as part of our "own" custom copy and we'll leave it this way, but I think I would have preferred if the book maybe would have had something about filling the left over upgrade spaces at the end of the campaign

Also I would mention this other not so big thing - the stickers could have been shaped a bit better in a couple of examples, especially those for cards. We had to either put them in a way they didn't really fit visually on the card or do some corrections on them with scissors (e.g. those stickers that add a point value to a card - they were a bit to round to fit on the card if you wanted to put them on the very spot where that symbol usually is - placing a bit more inward worked but looked slightly off...) .

Jamey - did I see correctly - you did NOT add the cat (mascot) to the inn as an improvement???? :P

I’m actually surprised how well Clank Legacy has been reviewed. It has been our least favorite legacy experience. We felt that the timing of unlocks and stickers interrupted the flow of the game and became too fiddly. Pandemic Legacy had a few moments where this happened, but they were BIG moments that deliberately interrupted the flow for maximum effect. They were certainly far and few in between and most changes happened before or after a session. This should be a concern for designers working on future legacy games: make sure unlocks are timed appropriately as to not annoy players.
