Eeeehhh I dunno if it marked a turning point, Crusades already weren’t doing too well

Anyway once his army took the castle, Richard ordered the man who shot the crossbow to be brought before him. Upon seeing that it was a young boy he pardoned him and told him he was free to go

Sadly his army didn’t see eye to eye, and upon Richard’s death they had the young man flayed alive. Richard was many things but he believed in honor.
