This one really ticked me off. They had a **6** month supply sitting in the yard, and most chip makers had months in stock. The resin did indeed go up in price... a few dollars a pound. A few grams of the resin used in a memory chip - yet the price of RAM tripled. It was pure speculation and greed that drove the prices. Dow Chemical in Michigan even offered to crank back up their production to handle any shortfall, but it wasn't economically viable, and NO ACTUAL SHORTAGE of the resin occurred. Only RAM chip pricing went up, as well.

I remember the incident being reported and the somewhat shocking increases in RAM pricing. It was around the same time that I started working for a computer retailer as a technician refurbishing used computers for resale. We temporarily reduced how much RAM we installed and offered RAM upgrades separately.

Did it ever occur to us that someone might have burned that factory down to send a message to someone? Everything burn!!!

I remember seeing RAM prices temporarily jump in the 2nd half of 93 because of this. A friend of mine took advantage of it in a somewhat nefarious way with the 2 local Best Buy stores.

Our fire system is out of date, for all types of fire same instrument.
Either air plain or factory or mall.
Japanese have technology to remove nitrogen, rest we will plan.
I am giving you job.
You take compress bundle of rice paddy,
Put one beaker of water on top of it.
Start earthquake shaking machine.
Check it falls or not.
Check for softer vibration to higher vibration.
