ACDP MP, Wayne Thring: Whistleblowers in tender fraud and bribery cases must be protected

In a supplementary question to the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, ACDP MP, Wayne Thring, raised concerns over contract work for municipalities, as a source has allegedly said that "to get a tender, a bribe was asked for and to keep the tender, more bribes are required." He further noted that a whistleblower in a corruption case in Ethekwini had been shot and killed in his driveway. What plans are in plan to protect whistleblowers in these cases from harm, he asked.
