I hadn't heard of the Booktube Spin before today, but it sounds like a great way to clean up your TBR without putting too much pressure on yourself. I like it!

Love the idea of your highest and lowest rated books. Great Expectations is so good. I can’t believe some of those are rated that low! Good luck with the spin… I’m excited as this is my first time with the spin! 🙂📚

Okay. I'm totally commenting as I'm watching. The little shop of found things was really cute and is actually the start of a series. I would have to say I liked books two and three even more than the first book. But I did enjoy the first book. I hadn't heard of anyone talking about this book before and totally picked it up because I thought the cover was pretty.

Ooh I really liked the way you chose your books! I’ll have to do that next time!

I had been trying to figure out how I wanted to pick my books and this was a great idea! Thanks for the inspiration!

Some of the lowest rated ones seem like they could be good ones. Well except Dickens to see what you get to read. My vote for try a chapter: book 17 or 18 (shop of lost things). By the your glasses. They look great.

I don't like a lot of Dickens, but I really enjoyed Great Expectations. If that gets picked, I hope you will be pleasantly surprised! Also, I put off reading Johnny Tremain forever and when I finally read it, I found myself wishing I'd done it sooner. I did think that one would have a higher rating.

Hi Krista! I would most like to see you try a chapter of The Jane Austen Book Club and The Little Shop of Lost Things because I own both of those lol. I also have The Trouble With Goats and Sheep, but I got it for my friend as well and she thought it was cute. May have had a slow start though??

I’ll be anxious to see what the spin gives you!!

Cool way to pick your books! I don’t usually pay much attention to ratings because they’re all so scattered, mine included😊

I have Code Name Helene & A Thousand Splendid Suns on my list for this month for Chantelle's Read Your Shelf Challenge! Now I'm so curious what you will have to read. Oh the suspense. LOL.

Tiffany just read great expectations and loved it. She said it might be her favorite Dickens. I think she has a dedicated video about it coming out soon.

Would love the read a chapter of the lower ones. The Jane Austen one, the Little shop of things lost and found, Night sister, and the Lemoncholy life. Sounds great!

I have The Little Shop of Found Things in the basket beside my bed. I also have book two and noticed that it and the next two are all rated over 4. I've never read anything by Tamera Alexander but have a couple of her books as well. They're both first in a series and I hope to get to one of them soon.

Johnny Tremain is pretty good. I still remember parts of it from reading it to my son in 2011. If I look at the goodreads ratings I check the one star rating comments and see why they didn't like the book and make decisions on that. My standards do not align with a lot of popular books, so the low ratings help me. I'm excited to see which book you end up reading. 👍

I just love Tamara Alexander and Lynn Austin for Christian Fiction. Also high on the list is Sarah Sundin- she writes ALL WWII Christian fiction. I read "To Wager Her Heart" and loved it. I also LOVED "Dragonfly" by Leila Meacham. In fact all her books are *excellent*. Unfortunately, Ms Meacham died last month after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. I followed her on Facebook and she seemed like a genuine, sweet soul.

I loved great expectations! Also wuthering heights by Emily Bronte and The Scarlet Letter by Hawthorne of my favorites. Both I read in high school. Anything Edger Allen Poes is fun this time of year.

Hi, Krista. 'The Little Shop of Found Things' by Paula Brackston as I am currently reading the 'Found Things' series; will be reading the third book in the series 'The Garden of Promises and Lies' soon and the fourth book 'The City of Time and Magic' will be published in November this year. It is a time travel book; present day/historical. The premise of why/how the main character time travels is very interesting. I would like to read the two other Brackston series some day, her retelling books and witch books. I also liked 'The Trouble with Goats and Sheep', so hope you give them both an introductory read.
