Lord Green of Deddington standing up for the 30 million

Our President, Lord Green of Deddington made an intervention in the debate on the government's Nationality and Borders Bill, in the House of Lords.

Common sense! How long can this go on before we are completely swamped and our services crumble even further?

The current system set up when international travel was difficult and expensive is entirely unfit for purpose in a world with extensive and cheap travel routes. All legislation on immigration legal, illegal and asylum need a page one rewrite. They should take into account: Preservation of the culture of the UK. Availability of housing. Population policy (as we are all so green now, surely the UK is vastly over populated already). The balance of demographics male to female and ensuring that future generations will be overwhelmingly of British stock. How people of that region/religion have integrated or failed to integrate in the past.

And still the public paying for illegal people to enter this Country, what a disgrace. Sorting centres would be no good as once they have set foot in British land they can NOT be removed?

The costs of aiding foreigners who have entered this country illegally should count towards our foregn aid bill.

This is all due to EU Human Rights its still part of our Law. It should have been dealt with on Brexit. It turns what should be illegal economic migrants into asylum seekers with no documentation. Either strike out the appropriate parts or do a new Uk Human Rights which exclude all migrants coming from a safe country. As we only have safe countries surrounding us thats deals with most.
I will quote the part which is INSANE:
'There is no legal duty or obligation on the asylum seeker to claim and remain in the first safe country'. THAT IS THE PROBLEM
