I think this is one of the darkest and most disturbing stories you’ve shared. This time it’s not the violence, or criminal intent, it’s the extreme negligence and total lack of empathy. You did a fantastic job humanizing Greg and sharing his unfortunate story.

I would've immediately snitched just for the fact that a "friend" cared so little about me that they'd invite me over, without my knowledge of their crime, forcing me to be involved. At that point, our friendship is over and I'm strictly looking out for myself, and maybe even saving a life as well.

I am so sorry for Greg. A men who lost literally everything in his life and still managed to be optimistic, has to die in such a horrific way. I am furious how someone can’t have 1% empathy.
