Ruto: Social Protection Funds to be disbursed ahead of public servants’ salaries

Beneficiaries of social protection programmes will be getting their money before public servants earn their salaries. Addressing a social protection conference in Nairobi this morning, President William Ruto said the new changes will take effect from June 1. The President regretted that the beneficiaries of the programmes have been getting their money late, sometimes up to seven months after they are due.
