Here's my take on it: Beldam has spent over a thousand years trying to revive her queen, and all of it got ruined. Because she was nasty to Vivian, who teamed up with Mario.

She now has to live with the fact that everything would've gone without a hitch had she not bullied her sister.

It's immaculate.

I think after being beaten to a pulp and losing the Shadow Queen, Beldam decided there wasn’t much of a point to being evil anymore and decided to patch things up with Vivian, but there’s no doubt in my mind that it would take a lot of getting used to.

Vivian was gracious enough to give her sisters a second chance during the ending, so Beldam's on a TIGHT LEASH to not be mean to Vivian anymore, and I think that comes across well here.

Okay. One, the voice for Beldam is friggin perfect, that’s exactly how I imagined her sounding in the game. Second of all, the art is SPOT ON. Literally looks exactly like the game’s artstyle. Whoever made the art for this is really talented.

Growing up on the US Gamecube version I was always under the assumption that the Shadow Queen had some kind of legitimate dark magical influence on Beldam, in a way similar to Star Wars and how the dark side corrupts those who aren't strong willed enough to fight it off.

I think once the Shadow Queen is dead, Beldam kind of snaps out of it.

Eh in my opinion she should've left her sisters because family isn't an excuse to not let them treat you badly but I understand she might want to fix things with her family.

Honestly even if she wasn’t anti-trans, I think Beldam would hate the idea of something as lighthearted as a girl’s night out. She always seemed like the Grimm fairytale witch type to me. Probably the Margaret Hamilton nose.

After hearing that it was Vivian took her necklace, but also hearing why she did it and how her sisters treated her, and after she helped them on their adventure, Flurrie gifts Vivian the necklace to help her feel more like a girl! Now that would be awesome!
