La generación dorada de Polonia. Con un Lato imparable en todos los partidos y el motor talentoso de Deyna que movía los hilos. Y todos los demás a gran nivel. Sólo cayeron frente al local Alemania por un estrechísimo 0-1, partido en día lluvioso, pero hubo un espectacular tiro libre polaco que dio en el palo de un Maier vencido (véanlo en youtube). Esta Polonia superior a la de España '82, también muy buena y metida en la tabla final.
