Fulton Sheen: The Humiliation of God Becoming Man

🌟 Bishop Fulton J. Sheen eloquently reflects on the profound humility of God becoming man. Imagine placing your mind, soul, and spirit into the body of a dog. The first humiliation would be living with the limitations of that canine form, guided by instinct instead of intellect, and communicating through barks instead of words. The second humiliation would be spending your life among dogs, despite knowing you are far superior, only to be rejected and torn apart by them. Sheen powerfully illustrates how this analogy pales in comparison to the divine humility of God taking on human form, experiencing human pain, and offering Himself for our salvation. This thought-provoking sermon invites us to contemplate the incredible sacrifice and love of God. #FultonSheen #Incarnation #DivineHumility #GodBecomingMan #CatholicFaith

Before hearing the end, I was so infuriated and felt pain and shame at the end. Lord Jesus I'm sorry for all the times I've let you down.😢.

"Where power resides only in men, there is no longer a God. Reflections of this kind clearly reveal something fundamental about the problem of man’s knowledge of God. It becomes apparent that knowledge of God is ultimately not a question of pure theory, but primarily a question as to one’s own way of life; it depends on the relationship that men have established between themselves and the world, between themselves and their own lives."
[Joseph Ratzinger, Co-Workers of the Truth: Meditations for Every Day of the Year, ed. Irene Grassl, trans. Mary Frances McCarthy and Lothar Krauth (San Francisco: Ignatius Press, 1992), 246.]

When the soul is reborn it forgets it's previous life in a short time and it's consciousness becomes covered ...a human body is very rare and when misused by exploiting others and showing no mercy to man or beast it must take birth in a body in order to reap what it previously sowed
