What a Japanese Summer Fireworks Festival is Really Like

Hanabi Taikai, or Fireworks Festivals are held throughout Japan during the summer months. They are festive and a lot of fun. They are also super crowded and can be extremely stressful.

Showa Kinen Park located on Tachikawa, is a good place to come and enjoy the fireworks in Tokyo. It’s a bit removed form the city center and the park is huge, making it the perfect venue to accommodate all the people. This video shows you what it’s like to go to one.

The park is very spacious and looked almost completely packed! There were a lot of people. Did the people outside the park not want to take the 30 minute walk into the actual park?
