Chinese Communist Party resolution cements Xi Jinping leadership, putting him on par with Mao

China’s top Communist Party leaders wrapped up their sixth plenary session meeting in Beijing on November 11, 2021. The series of yearly plenums are held in between each national congress, which happens every five years. During this plenum, the Central Committee passed the “Resolution of the CCP Central Committee on the Major Achievements and Historical Experiences of the Party’s Centennial Struggle”, which was only the third of its kind in the party’s 100-year history. It elevates Xi’s status in the party to be on par with Mao and Deng, paving the way for his third term as president at the next party congress scheduled in the second half of 2022.

More sensationalist titles, used to grab attention.
I've read the entire statement release, NOWHERE does it compare Xi Jinping to Mao, nor does it in any way elevate him to that status.
It did stress the importance for the Party to maintain the Xi Jinping core leadership, and yes that means a 3rd term, but Mao didn't have to deal with terms with or without limits.
What the statement release does convey is that the Party needs to maintain the course to reform and a strong Party leadership is thus needed.
Report the news as it is, no need to embellish them.

Any leader of a country who can command more than 90% support of it's citizens deserve respect and adulation from the world. It does not matter what system of leadership or governance they practice, how developed, rich or poor, religious or non-religious etc. How many are there really of such leadership caliber in the world today?

That country is only as strong as the military allows it to be. If the military refused to follow communist laws. There is no way politicians can enforce them paving the way for a new democratic government. Just pointing that out.
