Here, I’m using She’s A Robot v2.0 (from Remixing The Brobecks) as the foundation, I really love the orchestral additions… then blended in the best parts of the original release (from Happiest Nuclear Winter) at the appropriate moments. Then I added the Alpha Tests Robot bit, which is just robot SFX Matt Glass wanted to add to the song during the second verse, but the band felt was “too much”.
And… I’ve ruined the song for myself. I can’t listen to either official version anymore as they don’t sound… finished, in a sense. It’s pretty rare that one of my recordings will actually match the way it sounds in my head, pretty much verbatim, and this is the perfect example of that happening.
