The cosmic inflation of the early universe is a subject of intense interest in cosmology and in this hangout Dr. Brian Keating, professor of physics at UCSD, will help us understand the latest research and theories that address how our universe began and what it was like in the first few moments. We also talk about what inflation must have been like in the first few moments of the universe.

Wonder if you took all the black holes and combine all their space time sucking ability and find out the hindrance to the expanse of space time, how fast would it expand if their were no black holes at all ?

At 13:10 I don't think Sean Carroll said that fusing of 1 proton and 2 neutrons
will make helium nuclei. Box 3 to 6 on this link will clarify:

At 17:15, error, the
21-centimetre radiation, electromagnetic radiation of radio wavelength is emitted by cold, neutral, interstellar hydrogen atoms. It was used to detect neutral hydrogen in our galaxy and map its spiral structure for the first time.

The cosmic microwave background radiation has a temperature 2.725 kelvin black body spectrum which peaks in the microwave range at a frequency of 160.4 GHz, corresponding to a wavelength of 1.9 mm. That is the only detectable electromagnetic radiation at max. distance, 14.6 billions light years.

Oh dear, "magisteria" a la Gould. This hangover from archaic religions still affects us today, even in our language (note how many times both Tony and Dr. Keating use the word "creation".) Problematically, the phrase "Big Bang" itself carries with it the burden of our religious past as societies. How many misconceptions have people had about cosmology, due to this lingering need for a "creation"?

Quran,

(Sahih International)
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?

-Sura Al-Anbya, chapter 21, verse 30

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا بِأَيۡيْدٖ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ

(Sahih International)
And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.

-Sura Adh-Dhariyat, chapter 51, verse 47
Thanks
