His character. That calmness. That modesty. It is so missing in the world today that Gukesh stands out greatly, and I am delighted to witness his example of personal characteristics. In short, that’s the kind of person you’d want your son to be like. Positive influence and role model.

Although he is only 17 years old, his behavior and character show beyond his age. He definitely has a championship personality. Both his games and his character can be a good role model for young chess players.well done.

Shoutout to my man Vidit Gujarati, who aced hikaru two times. Had he even drawn with him we wouldnt see gukesh here. Beating hikaru not just once but twice already makes him a champ.

After losing a game to Firouzja in the seventh round, he felt even more confident he could win the tournament. That's a rare kind of strength. Congratulations to Gukesh and to India from Tennessee, USA. Looking forward to the big one!

Congrats from America, Gukesh! What a joy to watch you play. It's difficult to understand how you could beat these seasoned pros. Naka and Nepo were playing great the whole tournament. Fabi wasn't his best but like Carlsen, even his not so good is stellar. But you beat them all.

You're like water. No style, just calm precision. It's something else, but also conspicuously not much of anything in particular. No distinct style to speak of. Just water.

Excited to see what's next for you!

Love the way he speaks. I am 27 and I learn things from people like himyself. So much patience, calmness, and maturity. And most importantly control on emotions.

At 17, he looks more settled and level headed than most in their 27s or 37s also - great to see a new Vishy rise..
