More than 60 scientists from the University of Chicago, Argonne National Laboratory, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and elsewhere spent three days last September at a Kavli Institute workshop learning how to convey the meaning of complex information so non-scientists can understand. Conducting the workshop was Alan Alda and the faculty of the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University. In this video, Alda speaks about his interest in science and helping scientists communicate their work to broader audiences.
