CES 2019: Mycroft AI Open Source Voice Assistant

Allison Sheridan interviews Eric Jurgeson from Mycroft AI about the world’s first open source voice assistant and their newest smart speaker, the Mycroft Mark II. Mycroft runs anywhere – on a desktop computer, inside an automobile, or on a Raspberry Pi. This is open source software which can be freely remixed, extended, and improved. Mycroft may be used in anything from a science project to an enterprise software application. Since Mycroft is open source, there is a diverse community of developers creating thousands of Mycroft skills that are available to anyone. Mycroft AI does not collect or store any user data. The setting is the Showstoppers show floor at the Wynn in Las Vegas.

Moi je veux bien des enceintes connectés que si elles sont en open source, dont le code est régulièrement contrôlé par des tiers et des sociologues qui constatent et conseil le devenir de l'enceinte avec les usagers, les codeurs et qu'on nomme les interlocuteurs vocaux machiniques, trucs, ou des noms de chiens sultane ou rex (quoiqu'à l’international ce soit pas forcément compris que rex est un nom de chien en france, cela pourrait avoir un effet inverse à celui désiré)

I'm more than a little concerned
I searched for videos on the Mycroft II but the only videos I see are a sales pitch for the device.

Either demonstrate your product and show it in action or stop making videos about what it can do.
