Trading vs investing - have you tried both? What is the difference between trading and investing?

Many people get used into the stock markets because they think they can make lots of money very fast. This is mostly using trading. However, very few people manage to succeed as traders.

Investing on the other hand is about long term investing. The gains are initially and compound with time. Which means, over a long period of time, the returns are very high.

In this Stock Market for Beginners video, we will understand the difference between a trader and an investor and what you should be.

Our mission is simple: make investing simple and accessible to everyone.

Thanks so much for this video, I'm nearly 32 trying to understand the market, I spent about 8 hours just on this video, taking notes and trying to get at least beginners knowledge, and I have to say that out of all the videos I watched, this one helped the most. Thanks again

Maine sirf 1 share karida tha L&TFH ka, 105 rs me kareeb 6 months pahle. Phir woh girte gaya aur 80 rs ka ho gaya tha. Phir woh dheere dheere badhne laga, aur jab tak main uska trend samajh paata, woh kareeb 120 pahuch gaya.

It's always good to learn something new.. For me I invest in fundamental sound companies using technical analysis as it helps me identify when is the best time to enter.. Or exit.. Fundamental analysis is late in predicting the onset of bear market or beginning of bull market..
Fundamentals are reflected in the market price which is the technical analysis..
To be a successful investor..both fundamentals and technical knowledge can complement each other deficiencies.

Great video, but would like to share my point of view here. I mostly trade Nifty 50 companies and invest in other less known large and midcap companies by doing fundamental analysis. Some tips from my side for new investor :
1. Learn DCF model of valuation. And find the valuation of top 50 companies. If you are a beginner don't try to analyse banks and nbfc companies.
2. Learn technical analysis from a professional trader
Now apply this on nifty 50 companies. Strongly maintain your stoploss. Before applying technical analysis, check the valuation using dcf method. Those who don't know DCF valuation model, go to morningstar.in & can use their fair value for reference.

There is no issue in ITC company but since I purchased its stock since more than a year, its CMP is still down than purchase price.
