Great idea and good looking result.
Here is a suggestion when working with concrete. Whilst it's a great material in compression, it sucks when in tension. As you found out when the side pulled off. Adding some mesh into the void, before adding the concrete, will hold it all together.

Use something like galvanised chicken wire. Form three square C shapes. One long one that takes it's shape from the base and two short ends. Then two the same shape that take their shape from a short end and half of each of the long sides.
Connect the 3 parts together to make a basket. The wire mesh basket should sit in the middle of the void between the two forms. To use it, put a half inch of your mix into the base. Sit the basket in place and add another half inch of mix. Then add your inner form and continue as you did in the video.

The mesh basket maybe a bit overkill, but it's the easiest way to add reinforcement.

Keep up the good work.

This is so gnarly. Glad to see a guy on Youtube owning a mistake. Finally, a project video I can relate to lol

I went with a trough instead of cans, that way I can just pour clear biofuel in, its cheaper, doesn't produce residue & is less maintenance while producing exactly the same type of flame.

If you line the inside of the outer box and the outside of the inner box with wax paper the sides will easily come apart and it will give you a flawlessly smooth finish. Providing you take the time to pull out all the wrinkles in the wax paper.

You are one patient craftsman! I love how you didn't give up on your project, and it still looked great.

I love finding cheap ways to make cool things that would otherwise cost me hundreds of dollars. This is a great idea!

I like the fact that he shows his errors. Not a lot of youtubers show their mistakes. Real organic and pure video

Good job. I especially liked how you showed the errors and commented on the frustration. Too many people think projects are mistake proof. You showed your mistakes but more importantly you demonstrated how to overcome!!!! Thanks

Thanks for showing your mistakes. That’s how we learn! So many DIY ers act like they don’t ever do anything wrong. That’s not the world I live in. 🙋🏻‍♂️
