Stereo Chorus Sounds With A 1982 VB-2 Vibrato (Wet/Dry)

Показать описание
Welcome to Perky's Analog Gear Demos! Please subscribe for more nerdy videos of guitar gear.
This is a video I've been asked for a LOT when posting videos of vintage stereo modulations! Pedals such as the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble create their spacious stereo effects by splitting the dry signal away from the wet effect, and running them into two different amplifiers....so very few of them are 'true' stereo; they're mostly Wet/Dry.
Whenever I've done this, people have asked - if one side is dry and the other is 'pure' pitch vibrato, can you create a similar effect using a vibrato pedal running in a Wet/Dry rig? The short answer is...yes! So that's exactly what we're doing today - using two amplifiers, but with a vintage 1982 Boss VB-2 going only into one of them.
What do you think? Huge, epic tones? Or do you prefer to keep things mono? Comment below!
Guitar is a Heritage H-535 w/ Monty's PAFs. Recorded through a Dr Z Z-Wreck (Celestion AlNiCo Gold) and a Hughes & Kettner Puretone (Celestion G12H Creamback), both mic'ed with sE Electronics RNR1 ribbon mics, and with a Schoeps CMC6 room mic. The two close mics are panned hard L&R in Pro Tools...details on screen! :-)
