IntelliJ IDEA Fix Spring Boot DevTools not working

How to fix the problem of Spring Boot DevTools not working in IntelliJ IDEA: automatic restart does not trigger and changes to static resources (e.g. templates) do not trigger live reload (browser refresh).

Under advanced settings the option "Allow auto-make to start even if developed application is currently running" is there under compiler (IntelliJ 2021.2.1)

Attention: In intellij 2021.2 this option was moved to Advanced settings =)

I got the hot reloading to work but it's stopped working on subsequent reload that I had to restart the server. But when I am using Eclipse, hot reloading is flawless. I want to transition to IntelliJ but their Spring Boot hot reloading is still buggy that I keep using Eclipse. Does somebody have any idea on how to fix this?

Thanks for this video!. One question I have is how do u have the endpoint tab(beside the console) and Java Enterprise, Spring(at the bottom). My initial intelIj setup does not have any of those. Is that a plugin I have to download?
