Takes me back to when I first listened to Host after having been a Paradise Lost fan since Icon came out. And I really wanted to hate it but ended up buying the CD and listening to it (among all the other stuff they put out over the years) even 20+ years later. Amazing song btw!

Superb song. The album is great, but this track is just too good. The instrumentals and oechestral elements are incredible and the sheer goth and doom that the lyrics and vocals add put it on another level. I loved host in the 90s (as well as their full catalogue) and love this. Its so good to have some artists vary thier music and try new directions.

It is insane to realise how much I've missed this sound. Insanely good song, sounding like it could have been ripped straight out of the PL One Second era. Amazed, truly. Gives me the chills every listen through. I hope you'll keep returning to this project in the future, after you're done with the next official Paradise Lost album which I just assume is on the horizons end.

Funny, I downloaded the album as soon as you could before all the tracks were available. You know when a couple have been classed as download only singles. I was going to listen to them in the car when I picked my husband up from work, I decided to eat my tea and watch something on my phone in the kitchen. Just as I finished I turned the radio back on (we always have it playing) and Kerrang radio just started playing what I know now was one of the Host songs- I thought oh my, that’s very Gary Numan sounding! Knowing of course it wasn’t cos I’m a massive Numan fan & know he’s not due anything out for sometime. I knew it was familiar despite the fact I’ve not heard it before! I’m a big PL fan, 40 this year & been a fan since I was a child- I’m like surely not?! Then the DJ announced it, it was Host! I’m like I knew it would be good and I looked forward to listening to it in the car even more! I can certainly say it didn’t disappoint at all! I love my signed CD & Limited vinyl! Thank you!
