I just love how this hobby brings people of all types together, just a college professor and tattoo artist nerding out over some snakes

"If you want a beautiful green arboreal reptile that also comes in blue and yellow and that can cost you a finger but probably not your life, then green iguanas and insularis vipers are similarly bad ideas." That cracked me up so much.

It always make me laugh when Clint is like "Sure you COULD handle the snake.... if having pudding for brains is something you can live with or NOT live with in some cases" 🤣

Just an FYI, better help just got in trouble from the FTC for mishandling patient information. They also pay their therapists laughably low wages unless they take on client loads and work hours that are going to make the therapist very prone to fast burnout.

Now the real question is, is the Brazilian wandering spider the best pet for you? Would love to see you cover some of the really hot spiders the same way you covered mambas and cobras

I've been breeding those for over 10 years.
Easiest way to get the little ones to grow is to just release them into a colony of mourning geckos. They will take care of themselves. My colony was in a jungle terrarium of 6ft times 3ft
Also, here in europe the insularis is super common in the hobby
Edit: common in the venomous hobby for Germany, and yes, there is even at least one pet shop that has a pair that I know of. But of course, private breeders make the vast majority.

Tyler is such a genuinely good dude. So is Clint, of course. Chandler is also a good guy. They gotta be more careful though, so they don't lose any more fingertips, or worse. Hopefully all of them stay safe and well.

Clint is so generous when it comes to his recommendations on hot snakes. much more so than many keepers.

These are beautiful snakes. What an excellent presentation. It just really amazes me the colors of some of these little creatures nature produces! Super cool

I’ve wanted a venomous blue snake for quite some time now and this video hasn’t changed my mind

A Florida blue garter snake will be quite cool to own indeed

Just happened upon your channel via your species of sharks video and I just had to subscribe!! I can tell that you're really passionate about these subjects and I love that I'm learning so much!!

That being said- I like to comment every time I see a betterhelp ad that this is a really shady company. The "therapists" aren't always actually licensed therapists and often cause harm instead of helping. I would definitely look harder into them as a sponsor because I feel like you are the kind of person who actually cares about giving people good resources. Beware of betterhelp!!

This is hands down the prettiest snake I have ever seen.

I kept it's cousin, native to Taiwan & South East Asia for several years. (White lipped green pit viper). Definitely NOT something you'd dream of handling. After several years, I returned it to the wild where I caught it as a juvenile. Great fun, but respect and expert care is essential.

Chandler has a vid up. Part of the stub club now but has his life. Didn’t get the standard of care required for a foreign snake like an Indian cobra once he got back to the states and lost about an inch off his finger and had some slight brain bleed and issues with his heart on top of being put under a lot of times in short period. You can see he’s a different person, but honestly, good, because he’s vowed to be a better example for the trade and not free handling the snakes. Sucks he’s had to go through this though.

What a fantastic snake. I can't think of a lot of cooler display snakes if you're willing and reasonably capable of owning hots.

And I'm SO glad that Chandler is doing well.

Ok, it will never cease to make me laugh when Clint is like, "Is this the best pet snake for you" whilst being like 6 foot away from it or stood up like here. 😂😂.

"I see no reason for a regular person owning a venomous snake" as I am surrounded by "medically significant tarantulas". In my defense, my Tarantulas are polite and prefer to stay in their enclosure and hide. These snakes seem a bit too defensive for my taste.
