8:53 everyone keeps talking about the insane warp prism micro by alpha zero, but i couldn't help but notice the perfect precision in also retreating all the stalkers, but leaving one to keep attacking the low stalker to pick it off. Also while a0 was kiting, it kited with the high shield stalkers and when they got low on shields, they would no longer kite but just run.

I haven't played StarCraft since early hots, so I have no idea about the meta and build orders, but i could recognize that inhuman micro. Absolutely insane

Watching an AI warp prism juggle so well while retreating is a little unnerving for me.

Humans will always be limited in our ability perform multiple thinking tasks... AI doesn't have this issue. So in the game, AlphaStar was micro controlling the battle... In parallel to creating new ones as well as managing the workers and new structures... While also analyzing the human player's worker count and fighters.. All at the same time and other things on the side. The pro human player was probably occupied fighting off the attack and creating new ones.... And stress level rising hence making mistakes and miscalculations...

Watching the AI do warp prism micro is really scary to me. And this is just an early version of the AI, if it can master Starcraft 2 in the future, can it master fighting an actual war in real life, soon making the warminds in Destiny 2 a reality? Is this the end of humanity? Is this a weapon to surpass metal gear?

Once this gets fully fleshed out, I can't wait to watch Alpha fight itself. Those are going to be some sick matches with a ton of high-level learning opportunity for pro players and beginners alike!

Really gotta commend dan on the length of his tie, he should be proud of it

You asked in your video, " If it can play all races on any map, could it enter into tournaments? Should it be allowed?" I think it should be the final boss. Once someone has won the big tournament, human vs. human, then the champion should battle against AlphaStar. If they beat it then they get some extra reward, or the community gets a win or something. Maybe if they win they get immortalized in the game or something. Kinda fun and builds the excitement. :)

I found it crazy that he used the early adept shades, oracle harrass, warprism micro and such cool tricks that real pros do.

Even the AI chooses protoss because it's less micro 🤔🤔

And this is why I favour repeat buttons or infinite build commands. Because grinding individual build commands is something that machines can and will always do better than us.
