“uh” (/ə/) or “aye” (/eɪ/)? A Pronunciation Guide for the Indefinite Article “A”

A (or An) is the indefinite article. In the simplest terms, it introduces new ideas to your discourse. It refers to a noun without specifying it or refers to a noun to introduce it for the first time.

Learning to properly use A/An is an important step in being viewed as a fluent English speaker.

In this video, we talk about the pronunciation of “a”. Is it better to say “aye” (/eɪ/) or “uh” (/ə/)?

What do you think? Leave me a comment and let’s talk!

I have heard it as /ei/ when trying to emphasize indeed. But can I use this both exchangeable? Not only when trying to emphasize. I’m Spanish native speaker and I had this doubt.
