Staying connected with your subscribers/commenters is much appreciated and, in my opinion, key to being a good channel on YouTube. There are some wildly popular channels out there who hardly respond to anything, if at all. Sure, at some point I imagine that keeping up with EVERYONE becomes overwhelming, but it's disappointing when there appears to be no discernible effort taken to include subscribers. I make it a priority to keep in touch with people who comment on my videos, and always will.

Thanks for sharing this, Greg!

this is exactly why you are imo the best car youtuber... because you actually help your subscribers with car related questions...

Just know that all of your hard work is appreciated. It has been fun watching your channel grow. For me it's been about 2 years since I subscribed the TheCarPassionChannel, since then I got most of my car buddies to subscribe as well.

This is why you're my favorite YouTuber. I got another one for ya. How do you get away with running a turbo in Cali?

I've been wanting to move out there but I'm on MS, soon to be boosted. I'd swap back to stock for testing like I already have to but what about the roadside smog checkpoints I've been hearing about? Will cops wanna look under the hood if you get pulled for speeding? Do they really tow/impound or even crush your car?

I haven't found a good answer from the DMV, and nothing at all about how much the roadside stuff is actually enforced. I can deal with being legal once every two years, it's the in between time (especially the car crushing part) I'm losing sleep over. Thanks a lot man.

you are one of the most responsive youtubers i follow, granted most youtubers i follow have 500, 000+ subs, but still. When you get big try and keep that personal touch to it. Brings me back to the videos even if they aren't something I'd normally watch

Hi Greg, thanks for making these videos! I'm on my 3rd Miata now (and that's after 3 Triumphs, a B'eyed Healey and a 944) Yeah, you guessed it, I'm an old codger! Anyway, I'm wondering how you get around smog/ dmv regs with all the mod's you do? I understand that some small towns are exempt. Also... any plans on coming up to Northern Ca with a Miata Meet? Thanks, Wes

Greg, if you're ever in the Midwest around Chicago and need a miata friendly place to crash let me know. We've got a decent scene over here even though there no canyons to go and play on every day.
