Linked below is all you'll need to have that tub cut and out of the yard.

A dolly would be an option, but not needed.

If you have something you'd like to point out in the video, drop a comment.

Thanks for watching.

thanks for posting this! my hot tub has been busted for two years. Can't get anyone to come out and try to repair it near me. Figured i should probably get rid of it. Multiple companies quoted me $1500-$2k to come REMOVE the hot tub!! i bought a new set of blades for my sawzall for $30 instead. thank you!!

Tks for sharing. I feel bad filling the landfill even more but i already gave this thing a seocnd life. Nearly 20 years total with me and the previous owner. I have all the tools just never realized how easy it was, this video gives me a bit more hope at a speedy dismantle. Thanks again!

Wow I need to get rid of mine and figured I'd check to see how easy it would be. This came up first and it looks even easier than I thought. Quicker too. Special thanks for which blades you use too!

Thanks for the pointers! & I drilled holes in the seats to drain the last of the water that didn't go out the drain. I found it pretty easy to get the pumps, heater & workings (some of the lines we cut as we went along) out in advance after disconnected the power.

Thanks! Super helpful to see your pattern for where to cut and info about the approximate size of the load with a pickup.

You are a lifesaver! I'm trying it today. Yesterday, as I removed the exterior, I noticed a raccoon had taken up residence in it. It has since found a new home.

Just removed my hot tub and this certainly can be done. The hardest parts are removing the hose lines, motors, blowers, etc… The second hardest part is removal. Cutting it up is fairly easily. This video has great directions; although I cut it up in smaller pieces (8).
Some necessary items: eye and ear protection, mask when cutting the tub up for fibers/dust, a good pair of gloves, a few extra sawzall blades of various sizes, and a good pair of heavy scissors or shears to cut smaller hoses, and some contractor grade garbage bags. Overall without complete removal but with a cleanup, it took me about 3 hours by myself. The cutting part took about 45 minutes. And I used a low grade Harbor Freight sawzall I bought just for this job. Don’t be intimidated if you have the right gear.

A filter mask would also be a good idea, to prevent inhaling tiny bits of fiberglass fibers. Those can add up over time and do not get broken down by the body.

Nice video thanks I am in the process of cutting and disposing of the hot tub. Can the pumps be recycled so they still work?

Does the fiberglass get airborne to where you could breathe it and does it get in your skin like insulation does? Thanks. Great video!
