Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) account for 70% of all deaths globally.

Answering World Health Organisation’s call for action in 2017 (#REHAB2030), AXA-supported researcher, Dr. Martin Heine of Stellenbosch University, is studying the feasibility of rehabilitation care services in low-resources settings.

His objective is to help acquire the necessary evidence and understanding for the implementation of cost-effective rehabilitation care and research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
