Nova Scotia braces for Hurricane Fiona’s landfall

John Lohr, the minister responsible for Nova Scotia's Office of Emergency Management, says officials are 'extremely concerned' as Hurricane Fiona tracks closer to the Atlantic provinces. The Nova Scotia government is warning residents ahead of the storm's arrival to be ready for a possible 72-hour power outage.

I don't know if anyone can remember the ground hog day storm in Nova Scotia in 1976. It took out roads and put boats across highways along the shoreline.

I’m from Nova Scotia it’s Sunday now and the weather has improved really well it’s still a little bit windy out but it is sunny and it is pretty safe here so but the power still out there is we can’t get to our grandparents house and there’s trees knocked down stuff all over our yard and stuff and it is really scary if you drive out that kind of weather so yeah
