I grew up on tomato sandwiches in South Carolina. Super simple and delicious but very different to this one. Our sandwiches are made with thick slices of ripe tomato, salt and pepper to taste, and a healthy amount of mayonnaise on both sides of white bread. Def recommend you give it a try. So many options for plus ups too!
