Adar doesn't exist in the books but he's the one carrying this show

Adar was a hero. He redeemed and humbled himself in the end.

I really liked both actors. The first one captured a great vulnerability of Adar. The second one his great rizz.

Sam Hazeldine is a great actor, perfect for this role, his father was a highly regarded and respected actor with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and also used to appear in some great TV serials, for example Londons Burning, in the 90s.

If he wanted children ….he should have asked me I’d birth his children! (Kidding kidding.)

I hope they resurrect Adar, he was one of the few good characters in this show.

Adar stabbed Morgoth in the back with the black crown of power. Killing him.

I don't know what they have in their heads, an IP with 150 million books sold, and the movies each the highest grossing of their time only behind Titanic. Imagine the hundreds of millions of consumers with a well-defined idea of the product and what they expect from it. And you go and piss on the source material, putting a large portion of those hundreds of millions of people rejecting the product and campaigning against it, instead of pushing it which is what they would have done if it had given them what they expected to see. It's completely stupid and even more so when you've invested so much money.

People keep trying comparing this tv show to Jackson's movies as if Jackson's version is the one and true and somehow Tolkien himself blessed him, forgetting he did cut of hell outa of it, and I remember the outrage back then when the characters of Arwen and Eowyn's character got more screen time - that only shows ppl don't change and there will be always some whiny b.tches.

I enjoy the show (except the damn wigs: short hair and pointy ears = vulcan, long hair pointy ears = elf, I don't make the rules ;)), of course I wish they would slow down and keep it more to the time line and I wish some day I'll get to see whole Silmarillion being adapted into proper series.
I'm sick and tired of every fantasy being compared to Game of Thrones as if it's some kind of only one true and honorable and "adult" fantasy there can be (can't even rewatch it because I remember that dumpster fire after 5th season) - you ppl act like the worst harry potter fans who have never read another book in their life.

I tried to search yt for interesting commentaries of fans of fantasy genre and nerds and the only thing I found is bunch of whiny incels that would gladly give Jacksons bj.

PS
Both Adar actors were great, tho I prefer Sam Hazeldine's portrayal and it's a bummer we won't see him in 3rd season.
