2. SOUNDBITE (English) Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, (D) Nevada:
"They are an integral part of our community, not just because they pay taxes. They're in the economy, but they bring this rich culture and history and art and food. And I'm very proud of it. And that's why for me, I'm ensuring that we are taking care of these families."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) William Tejeda, Business Owner Cortez Masto Supporter:
"Latino it's going to make a difference. Many years before, it probably wouldn't happen. But this time yeah, we're getting in there and I think people from my community, we put more attention on elections now than before. Even if it's early, they go to vote early and it's going to make us count."

6. SOUNDBITE (English) Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, (D) Nevada:
"You can't take anything for granted in Nevada. It's still small enough where people want to see you and talk to you. They want to know that you're on their side."

8. SOUNDBITE (English) Dan Lee, Political Science Professor, University of Nevada, Las Vegas:
"One of the demographic changes that kind of contributed to it trending blue is the growing Latino population, right? But again, we can't take for granted, Democrats can't take for granted, that it's going to shift Nevada strongly blue. For one, they're not a solid voting bloc. Like, for African Americans, in terms of supporting the Democratic Party. 90% of African Americans support the Democrats. For Latinos, it's a much closer split, like maybe, two thirds."
9. Adam Laxalt walks into church auditorium, greets supporters in Spanish
10. Laxalt on stage
11. SOUNDBITE (English) Adam Laxalt, (R) Nevada Senate Candidate:
"My family came to America as immigrants before me and like the Latino community and many other communities, we believed in education first."
12. SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Lydia Dominquez, Adam Laxalt supporter
"I was able to get with Adam Laxalt and start helping out. We need to help these people."
13. SOUNDBITE (English) Adam Laxalt, (R) Nevada Senate Candidate:
"The last six years she left behind Latinos in this state. She did not represent them. She wouldn't have to be working so hard to try to regain this vote in the last weeks of this election if she represented that community."
14. SOUNDBITE (English) Dan Lee, Political Science Professor, University of Nevada, Las Vegas:
"Latinos care about a lot of issues. They care more than just about the ethnicity of their representative or more about just immigration. So one of the big issues that are really pushing a lot of voters towards the Republican Party is the economy."
15. Laxalt meets with supporters holding "Latinos Con Laxalt" signs
