This is the first time I am writing on anything connected with law. From the very beginning of Nupur Sharma becoming angry with the repeated nonsense spoken by the muslim gentleman and quoting from al Buquari in Hadith about the prophet Mohammed and one of his wives Ayesha, she has been going through the most miserable period of her life. I don't think she has deserved this. Besides, BJP, has done her fearful lot of harm, instead of holding her hand and supporting her. The two SC judges have been totally spineless in talking utter nonsense. Rightly have eminent retired High court judges spoken sense. Let's hope and pray that Nupur would be safe. Let's also pray for her to be calm in these difficult times.

We already are aware of the SC view. Point is can it pass order as per law or just to satisfy it's own free will? It can take the view that since the anchor has given bad publicity to the future PM material of our mango republic so he must go to jail. Milards have often said bail not jail should be the norm. But they may exercise their own agenda. In that case isn't it the duty of the अबतक छप्पन इंची सरकार to make a law that no one is left at the mercy of the milards and all get treated evenly before the law.

Trying to regulate an open internet social media is nonsense.
What happens if (say) a Pakistani says that Indian judges are idiots or gives a false story (which the pakistanis keep on giving).
Where would an FIR be lodged? Who would be penalized for contempt of court?
Suppose Nupur was a foreign citizen residing abroad. Then what could the Indian supreme court do?
I think we need to be practical about this and retain our sanity. FIR is not a solution nor is court intervention going to help.
