Vikki Wakefield really did a great job with that YA novel, I read it as part of the Stella longlist reading I was doing last year.
I loved Future Girl by Asphyxia (2020) - a worthy Winner of the 2020 YA fiction, Victorian Premier's Prize, a lot to it and a lot to recommend it.
Haven't heard of Dirt Circus League before I'll have to check it out, thanks. Great summary of The Boy from The Mish.
It was the 100th anniversary of Colin Thiele's birth last year and I read some of his again, some of his less well known YA fiction is great to look out for, lots of empathetic indigenous interactions and great descriptions of The Coorong in South Australia.
