As a Gen X Canadian. I watched as President Reagan and Prime Minister Mulroney did their very best to help corporate interests at the expense of everyone else.
Ole Ronnie called it trickle down economics.
I call it a new start to wealth inequality that we haven’t seen since the days of the Robber Barons.
Whether he was crushing unions or making free trade agreements that sent manufacturing jobs (and their respective tax bases) overseas. Ronald Reagan created more problems than he solved.
